Us
The Gallery on the Square celebrated its grand opening during Alpine's
Fiesta del Sol event on June 21, 2009.
The gallery represents a collection of fine art by local and regional Big
Bend area artists. 
It is an extension of the Big Bend Arts Council, a non-profit organization
serving the greater Big Bend Region.
Members of the arts council are allowed the opportunity to display their
work in the gallery. The participating artists pay a nominal monthly fee
to the Big Bend Arts Council for display space and a small percentage of
each sale also goes the organzation to support the overhead of the gallery.
Participating member artists volunteer their time to man the gallery during
operating hours, as well as in many other areas, such as: curating, marketing,
accounting, and other areas of the gallery's operations.
